Private Catering Menus

Have a look at some of our sample menus. We can put together any menu items that you like, so don't hesitate to make some suggestions. Whether it's a wedding, a birthday party or just an excuse to get together with people, Cafe Express will work with you to make it a success.

All these menus can be adjusted and all prices are per person.
To ensure we have a full understanding of your requirements, a discussion is essential so we can be accurate with our pricing.

Catering Sample 1 - $46.00

Fingerfood
  • Sushi Served with soy sauce and wasabi
  • Hummas parcels Filled with spinach, pesto and hummas
  • Thai Noodle Balls Tiny balls of pork wrapped in crispy noodles with a chilli dipping sauce
  • Harrisa Lamb Slices of tender pink roasted lamb marinated in harrissa and served on pita.
  • Southern Chicken Nibbles Moist breast meat spiced with a crispy coating & served with a dipping sauce
  • Coconut Prawns
    Poached in coconut cream, chili and ginger served on spoon
Buffet
  • Bread Selection
  • Angus Pure Beef Scotch fillet roasted medium rare topped with a mustard and horseradish rub accompanied by a red wine jus
  • Thai Curry Our own version of this classic with tender breast fillet, spices, coconut cream & rice
  • Salmon with Dill crust and sour cream sauce
  • Mesclin Salad
  • Brown Rice salad with pumpkin, feta, sun dried tomato and pinenuts
  • New Potatoes with herb dressing

  • Finger food 4 items after wedding
  • Tasting Platter Comprising of Thai prawn salad, Smoked salmon on rosti, Sun-dried tomato tart, Orange and brandy pate, Guacamole
Mains
  • AngusPure Beef on garlic mash topped with grilled mushroom stuffed with bacon & pesto
  • Chicken breast stuffed camembert wrapped in bacon, served on a kumara tart
  • Rack of Lamb on smashed new potatoes with spinach and mint hollandaise
Dessert
  • Platter A mini platter of tasty treats
  • Tea & coffee

Monday to Friday: 7am to 4pm
Weekends and public holidays: 8am to 4pm
Evening dining: by arrangement
